Copyright controversies under consideration at conference

A two-day conference at the University of Windsor later this month will feature an international line-up of speakers offering interdisciplinary perspectives on issues surrounding copyright user rights and regulations.

The “Copyright User Rights and Access to Justice Symposium” is slated for May 18 and 19 in the Freed-Orman Centre, Assumption Hall.

Scheduled to speak are Windsor law professors Pascale Chapdelaine and Myra Tawfik, as well as:

  • David Vaver, professor emeritus of intellectual property and information technology law at the University of Oxford;
  • Ariel Katz, associate professor and innovation chair in electronic commerce at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law;
  • Séverine Dusollier, professor at the Sciences Po École de Droit in France; and
  •  Ruth Okediji, William L. Prosser Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota.
