The Lancer Leadership Conference, March 8 to 13 on Blackboard and MS Teams, will offer attendees presentations and workshops on the skills necessary to make a difference.
“We’re hoping to register as many participants as possible,” says organizer Simon du Toit, co-ordinator of leadership development in the Student Success and Leadership Centre. “It will be a great conference with lots of engagement activities to build community.”
Evening coffee meet-ups will allow informal exchange, and afternoon sessions will feature some 16 presentations by students.
The six morning workshops include:
- Equitable Leadership Development and Racialized Groups
- Resiliency in Difficult Times
- Leadership and the Bystander Initiative
- Team Building
- Conflict Resolution
- EQ (emotional intelligence) at Work
All the events will be recorded to allow conferees to take in the presentations on their own time.
Admission is free and open to anyone over the age of 16. Register here to attend.
