The UWindsor Spring Open House will bring future students and their entourages to attend online, in person, or both Saturday, March 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The event will engage faculties and student service areas in showcasing the University as an exceptional choice for academic opportunities, campus life, and student support.
“We are so excited to welcome our applicants and their fans to campus — in person and virtually,” says Beth Natale, director of student recruitment. “We are absolutely an exceptional destination and we need our campus community to help show future Lancers why UWindsor is the best choice.”
She says campus partners have joined in planning an event that will provide a safe and enjoyable introduction to the university and its amenities
“We’re able to combine an in-person experience with being accessible to attendees across the globe — including campus tours, student services information, and program presentations offered in our new HyFlex classrooms that can be broadcast into our virtual auditorium,” says Natale.
“We know that inviting prospective students to campus is critical to highlight our institution’s unique academic offerings and value propositions, including undergraduate research opportunities, engagement inside and outside the classroom, and a vibrant and diverse campus community.”
She notes the event will require volunteers on campus to check in visitors and provide them with directions, ensuring an enjoyable and safe day for potential Lancers and their families.
Positions are available for students, staff, and faculty in either the morning or afternoon. To volunteer or nominate a current student, email nina.m.korac@uwindsor.ca.
