Local vendors help incentivize survey participation

The Strategic Planning team at the University of Windsor has been working with local vendors to incentivize participation in the Strategic Planning Survey, which closes on March 7.

Available prizes range from gift boxes and gift cards, to baking kits, technology devices, and more. Participating local vendors include retailers Ani & Fabi, Biblioasis, Devonshire Mall, Fin & Vin Gifting Co., and Whiskeyjack Boutique; and restaurants Giglio’s Market, Lickety Splitz, Syd’s Sandwich Co., Turbo Coffee, Whamburg, and Windsor Kabob House.

Other prizes include 10 Starbucks gift cards, two Apple iPads, two UWindsor scholarships for students, and a coffee break prepared by UWindsor Catering Services for a faculty-staff team or department.

“The very best way to serve, grow, and help lead external communities is to engage them in the strategic planning process,” said associate vice-president external Vincent Georgie. “Sourcing local vendors to help incentivize survey participation seemed like a good way to support and connect with people from local communities as one step in the path to understanding how communities want to engage with us, and what initiatives are a priority so that the University of Windsor can aspire to be its most impactful self.”

President Robert Gordon says the survey is a key step in a larger consultation plan that aims for integrated and broad-based input.

“We hope to hear from a diverse range of stakeholders, and from all of the communities we work and engage with, to share their voices and vision for the University’s strategic planning process.”
