Team-building exercise caps successful season for Master of Engineering mentors

Mentors from the Master of Engineering (MEng) program celebrated the completion of the Winter 2022 term by participating in a friendly “Tallest Marshmallow Tower” contest, May 3 in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation.

The peer mentor program matches returning students with incoming students to provide necessary support, engagement, and leadership. Mentors meet weekly with their mentees to address questions, provide resources, and support student transition.

“Our mentors are paying it forward with their dedication to support new international students in their transition to student life in Canada,” said international student advisor Laura Ducharme. “Today’s fun event is an opportunity to celebrate their commendable efforts.”
