Forward Vanessa Budimunda will join the Lancer women’s basketball team this fall.
Head coach Chantal Vallée of Lancer women’s basketball says she is pleased to add a pair of new recruits to her roster.
Joining the blue and gold in the fall are transfer Vanessa Budimunda from the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks and guard Haley Willits from the Southwest Academy in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association.
“They are great players that are bringing with them high-level experience, athleticism, maturity, and excellence in the classroom,” said Vallée. “I can’t wait to coach them this fall!”
Budimunda will begin studies in law in September. She was named most valuable player on her Ridgebacks team, averaged 10.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game in the 2021-22 season.
Willits will major in kinesiology and said she is excited to play for the Lancers.
“I believe that Coach Vallee will push me to reach my highest potential as both a player and as an all-around person,” she said.
