Applications open for student jobs as career peer advisors

The Office of Career Development and Experiential Learning is accepting applications for career peer advisors. Students interested in helping their schoolmates advance towards their career goals — while learning the most up-to-date methods of job search — can apply through mySuccess for the Fall 2023/Winter 2024 academic year.

“Career peer advisors are trained students who provide career-related support and act as ambassadors across campus by engaging in promotional events,” says Krista Kelly, manager of career development and experiential learning.

“The program is designed to help peers attain a set of well-defined core competencies overseen by professional staff members while providing support to fellow students and engaging in promotional events across campus,” she says.

Kelly encourages faculty and staff to promote this paid opportunity to students from all disciplines who display excellent leadership and mentorship skills. Students can submit an application by June 16. Learn more by visiting the program website.
