MBA students contribute to hospital fundraiser

Master of Business Administration students at the Odette School of Business led fundraising efforts within the faculty for Windsor Regional Hospital’s 14th annual Hats on for Healthcare campaign.

The students organized a bake sale and photo booth in the Odette Building lobby to collect donations. Combined with online donations and a contribution from the business school, they raised a total of $2,000 toward the cause.

Hats on for Healthcare is held every March and gives donors the opportunity to wear their favourite hat and share through social media.

This year’s efforts aimed to raise $50,000 for the hospital’s pediatric programs and neo-natal intensive care unit, and surpassed that goal with a final total of $67,491.

Team Odette earned the top fundraising team position and a pizza party provided by the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation.

Odette MBA Society president Brittany Danelon said supporting Hats on for Healthcare is a tradition for her program.

“We were pleased to be able to continue the tradition again this year. Placing in the top fundraising position and receiving a pizza party was a great bonus,” she said. “We are thankful for the Odette community supporting our efforts!”
