#2012-13-03 Clinical Methods Assistant Tentative Classification ‘II’ in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry – Windsor Program

To work in a team environment in close communication with Windsor faculty/physicians, medical students, hospital personnel, London-based Schulich education staff and other Windsor-based Schulich education staff. The candidate will ideally possess a community college diploma or undergraduate degree in a related field (health, education or business) and have five (5) years related experience. The candidate will possess a community college diploma in medical administration or undergraduate degree in business and three (3) to five (5) years’ related experience in an academic, medical or health-related environment. The candidate will have an understanding of the Schulich four-year Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) curriculum, as well as knowledge and/or experience in distributed medical education programs. The candidate must possess a knowledge of Windsor hospitals and facilities, experience working with faculty, physicians and medical students, and experience and understanding in working with physicians clinical schedules to implement a clinical academic schedule. The candidate will have the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will be well organized, accurate and conscientious, meet deadlines and have excellent communication skills (written and verbal). The candidate must maintain strict confidentiality regarding student, staff and faculty personal information and academic marks. The candidate is capable of independently handling stressful situations with a mature attitude and effectively deal with a wide variety of customers at varying levels of authority. Thorough knowledge of computer software (MS Office), database applications and electronic scheduling (Lotus Notes, email and internet) are required. The Clinical Methods Assistant may be required to travel between Windsor hospital sites and the University of Windsor. The incumbent must have the ability and willingness to work beyond the traditional workday and infrequently provide event coverage on weekends.

#2012-13-04 Institutional Analyst (enrolment data) Tentative Classification ‘IV’ in Institutional Analysis

This position is responsible for extracting, compiling, analysing and reporting on data from wide variety of sources. The candidate will ideally possess a Masters degree in a related field and/or a university degree with demonstrable research skills and strong math skills. Two to three years experience in the collection and analysis of data. Candidates must possess excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of computerized databases, spreadsheet software, and Microsoft Excel as well as knowledge of SPSS and GIS. Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Powerpoint to prepare presentations. Must be able to prioritize and manage projects and deadlines. Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with excellent written and oral communication skills. As well, the candidate will possess a high level of interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and under deadline pressure. In his/her past work experiences, the candidate will have demonstrated strong work ethic and initiative; an excellent attendance record and the ability to work in a team setting.
