Ontario University Athletics handed two major awards to Lancers at its Wilson Cup awards breakfast Friday, naming power forward Lien Phillip its west division player of the year and Chris Oliver coach of the year.

Phillip, a fourth-year player who stands 6' 8", established himself as the premier big man in the province. He averaged 14.9 points and 10.6 rebounds per game in helping Windsor reach first place in the OUA west and the no. 6 ranking in Canadian Interuniversity Sport.

Oliver led the Lancers to a 16-5 record and first place in their conference through the season. Windsor was one of the top offensive teams in the nation, averaging 82 points per game. This is Oliver’s third OUA coach of the year honour; he won the award in 2007 and 2008.
