Student wins free tickets to watch national women’s basketball quarter-final

First-year social work student Deneece Plummer won Tuesday’s DailyNews quiz contest and the prize of a pair of tickets to see the Lancer women’s basketball team begin its title defence during the quarter-finals of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport championship tournament, Friday, March 14, at the St. Denis Centre.

Plummer’s entry was selected at random from all those which correctly identified these standout performances in Saturday’s Ontario University Athletics championship game:

  • Miah-Marie Langlois with 25 points, Jessica Clemençon with 21 points and  Korissa Williams with 14 points all scored in double digits.
  • Cheyanne Roger had a game-high 10 rebounds.
  • Korissa Williams led the Lancers with five steals.
