New assistant coach looking forward to women’s soccer season

The newest member of the Lancer soccer team brings valuable experience to the squad.

Stacey Ditchfield will join the team, as an assistant coach for women’s soccer, director of Lancer soccer operations Steve Hart announced Monday.

A coach in the Windsor-Essex community for the past 14 years, Ditchfield is currently the head coach of the U13 girls Caboto Chargers in the Windsor and District Soccer League, as well as the Catholic Central High School senior girls’ team. She also served on the coaching staff of the Windsor-Essex International Children’s Games team that captured a silver medal in August 2013.

“I am thrilled to be part of the Lancer family and honoured that coach Hart chose me to be a part of the coaching staff,” said Ditchfield. “The team has a solid foundation to build upon, and I look forward to working with the team and taking them into the post-season.”
