Lancer basketball champion to play in professional France league

Graduating Lancer women’s basketball player Jessica Clemençon has signed a contract with a professional team based in her home country of France.

Clemençon, a master’s of human kinetics candidate, becomes the fourth Lancer women’s basketball player to sign a pro contract, following Dranadia Roc, Raelyn Prince and Iva Peklova. Teammate Miah-Marie Langlois has recently signed with the Slan Sports Management agency and is pursuing professional opportunities as well.

One of the most decorated athletes in University of Windsor history, Clemençon helped lead her team to four straight national championship titles, five times earning Ontario University Athletics all-star status and in 2011 receiving the BLG Award as the top female university athlete in Canada.
