Engineering grad working to ensure quality of parkway construction

A UWindsor civil engineering grad is helping to make sure the $1.4 billion Herb Gray Parkway, a once-in-a-lifetime infrastructure project to improve traffic flow at Canada’s premier trade gateway, benefits the region as it will the country.

Casey Carriere (BASc 2008) joined the project more than two years ago and as quality assurance coordinator, he tests and inspects materials used in its construction.

My entire job revolves around making sure products we receive are meeting the Canadian requirements,” he says.

First-year digital journalism student Carlie Williams interviewed Carriere for a profile in the program’s online publication, the30.ca. Read her full article, “Herb Gray Parkway: University of Windsor Civil Engineering graduate expands on his experiences on site.”
