Catering menu rolls out new selection of hors d’oeuvres

A new menu from campus Catering Services offers a variety of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres sure to please the most particular palate, says assistant manager Ligia Arias.

“People want different options and so it was time for us to make an update,” she says. “We are very excited to learn how our customers like the new items once they try them.”

A tasting Wednesday in Assumption Hall’s Freed Orman Commons gave invited clients a chance to sample some of the new selections.

“Our internal business is very important to us,” says executive chef Paolo Vasapolli. “This type of event gives us a chance to showcase what we are capable of.”

Among the featured items are Thai chicken spring rolls and coconut shrimp, Indian onion pakoras and cauliflower fritters, vegetarian sushi rolls and a focaccia flatbread topped with roasted tomato confit, avocado and parmesan cheese.

Prices range from $22 to $28 for a dozen pieces; find a full menu on the catering website.
