Lecture to explore the spectrum of extremism

Extremism can represent a spectrum of positions, ranging from what is judged appropriate in a society of diverse ideas to those that threaten the functioning of society.

Philosophy professor Christopher Tindale, director of the Centre for Research in Reasoning, Argumentation and Rhetoric, will discuss the subject in his free public lecture, “Arguing with extremism,” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, in McPherson Lounge, Alumni Hall.

The Humanities Research Group presents the event as part of its Martin Wesley Lecture series.
