Visiting students given the royal treatment

A group of students visiting Windsor from Colombia toured campus last week and enjoyed hands-on activities meant to give them a sense of the university experience.

The students hail from the Windsor Royal School in the Colombian city of Monteria. They are spending a month at Academie Ste. Cecile to improve their English language skills, says teacher Nancy Pancheshan.

“Our Integration and English as a Second Language program provides English training in all facets of the English language — reading, writing, listening, and conversation,” she says.

Student recruitment officer Katia Benoit organized a full agenda for the group, with stops in kinesiology, forensics, business and the Great Lakes Institute for Environmental Research.

“It was a nice opportunity to showcase what we have to offer,” Benoit says. “The students especially loved the Promise building posters throughout campus.”
