Residence is about more than just a place to live. It’s about providing a space for UWindsor students to find success, Diane Rawlings, the head of residence services, told a reception Wednesday for top-achieving residence students.
“We know that important learning happens in and outside of the classroom, and we strive to provide an environment that complements and supports the academic program,” she said during the event in Vanier Hall’s Katzman Lounge.
The February 1 reception celebrated the accomplishments of undergraduate residence students with an academic average of at least A-, as well as those who held leadership positions while earning an average of B+ or above.
“Our staff creates space for students to develop leadership skills, build supportive learning communities, and engage with social causes,” said Rawlings. “Today’s event highlights the extraordinary successes they have had in fulfilling their promise.”
