Organizers invite proposals for Welcome Week involvement fair

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Involvement Fair, the 2018 edition — Tuesday, September 4 — will expand to the River Commons as well as the David A. Wilson Commons on either side of Turtle Island Walk.

Campus offices and organizations offering students opportunities for engagement may register for a booth during the event, which will also feature food, music, and games.

“Last year was a great start, showing students a range of activities to get involved in student life, in the community, in helping to make the University a better place,” says Amber Norman, student development specialist in the Student Success and Leadership Centre. “Now we want to open it up to even more partners looking for young people passionate about their projects.”

Student clubs will compete for a $250 prize for mounting the best table display. Involvement Fair will run noon to 2 p.m. on the Tuesday prior to the start of classes. To apply for a space, fill out the application form here by Friday, July 20. For further information, contact Norman at anorman@uwindsor.ca or 519-253-3000, ext. 3462.
