The new head coach of Lancer football has championship experience and a familiarity with Windsor.

Jean-Paul Circelli, who will take the reins Feb. 1, has served four years as the offensive line coach of the Western Mustangs. He will be only the fifth head coach in the 50-year history of the UWindsor football program.

Coach Circelli and the Lancers will open the 2019 Ontario University Athletics season on Sunday, Aug. 25, when they host the York University Lions at Alumni Field.
