Lancer football players Danny Skelton, Matt James, and George Una will take to Alumni Field for their home opener Saturday.
Lancer football will play its first home game of the 2021 campaign Saturday, Oct. 2, on Alumni Field.
The squad will line up against the Guelph Gryphons. Kick-off is at 2 p.m. Admission is $10, free for students. Get tickets at goLancers.ca/tickets.
The game will be aired on OUA.tv and YourTV, channel 11 on Cogeco cable.
During the afternoon, representatives of the Alumni Sports Hall of Fame will announce its 2021 inductees. Alumni Week activities celebrate all things UWindsor through Oct. 3. Find a full schedule of events on the Alumni Association website.
In other varsity action, soccer will meet the Brock Badgers in two-game series, in St. Catharines on Friday, and home in Alumni Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 3. The women will play at 2 p.m. and the men at 4:15 p.m. Both contests will be aired on OUA.tv.
Fastpitch will also host Brock Sunday, with games at 1 and 3 p.m. on diamond 2 at the Turtle Club in LaSalle.
Cross country and men’s and women’s golf teams are competing this weekend on the road.
