Reception to bid farewell to Chuck Macdonald and Inga Sliskovic

An open house reception Friday, June 22, will give friends and colleagues a chance to bid farewell to Charles Macdonald and Inga Sliskovic as they prepare to leave Windsor for new opportunities in Ottawa.

Dr. Macdonald is a professor and head of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry; Sliskovic is a research funding officer in Research and Innovation Services.

The reception promises light appetizers and a cash bar, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Mare Nostrum, the Mediterranean restaurant adjacent to the Education Building.

A “meet and greet” session on Friday gave honour students in science a chance for informal discussion with their deans and senior academics.

Science Dean Marlys Koschinsky has accepted the position of Executive Director at Western University’s Robarts Research Institute and will leave the UWindsor September 30.

Reception honours equity champion

Family, friends and colleagues came together at Kerr House on June 4 for a reception honouring Lynda Corkum as the 2014 recipient of the Mary Lou Dietz Equity Leadership Award.

Dr. Corkum was nominated by Charles Macdonald and Marlys Koschinsky who spoke to her many contributions over the years to equity and diversity.
