Video contest invites university students and employees to boast of world-class status

Times Higher Education magazine is looking for individual students, students’ unions, university faculty and administrative staff to make a 10-second video that completes the sentence: “My university is world-class because …”

The magazine will use submissions for the launch of its 2012-13 World University Rankings. The top filmmaker will win an iPad handheld computing device.

“I think it would be excellent for some of our students and employees to enter,” says business professor Francine Schlosser. “It would give them a chance to show the world the talent we have here and the sort of innovation that sets UWindsor apart.”

The organizers say that the films may focus on any of the qualities at which an institution excels—from teaching and research to access, diversity, sport and social life.

The entry deadline is September 4. Find more information, including the contest rules, on the magazine’s Web site.
