The rising star award recognizes a professional or entrepreneur under 30 years old seen to be “on the rise,” demonstrating potential as a future leader in the Windsor-Essex community.

Costante, who already holds two degrees from the Odette School of Business (BComm, MBA 2008), is currently finishing the final year of his JD degree at Windsor Law, and works at McTague Law Firm LLP, where he plans to article next year. He founded the organization Our West End, dedicated to the west Windsor community, and is author of the book Principles of Entrepreneurship: Building a Resilient Windsor-Essex Economy, One Entrepreneur at a Time.

Other award winners with a campus connection include alumnae Mary Brannagan (BHK 1983), the chamber’s Professional of the Year, and chiropractor Michelle Prince (BHK 1994), recipient of the 2013 Athena Award, which recognizes business excellence, community service, and mentoring women to achieve their leadership potential.
