Author inspired to share steps to self-improvement

When it comes to achieving personal goals, it’s about time, says Justin Teeuwen. A three-time UWindsor grad (BSc 2007, MSc 2010, B.Ed 2012), he has written a book laying out his approach to life.

“My dream has been to help other people achieve their dreams,” Teeuwen says. “I felt compelled to organize all my thoughts into a cohesive book.”

Entitled It’s About TIME: Achieving Your Personal Legend, the book outlines a four-step process:

  • Transform your life;
  • Illuminate your potential;
  • Manifest your destiny;
  • Evolve into the new you.

It is organized in 12 chapters, “like a clock,” says Teeuwen, and accessible to people who are short on time.

“People are struggling with identifying who you are and where you want to go,” he says. “They are looking for a big change in their lives. I want to give them the tools to manage that change.”

His book is available for purchase at the University Bookstore for $20.

Teeuwen has also planned his first motivational seminar “Yes, You Can!” for Thursday, April 10, at the Venue Music Hall, 255 Ouellette Avenue. Tickets are $10 in advance, available from the Time Consulting website.
