Since 2006, Windsor professors have been awarded more than 25 international, national, and provincial teaching awards, including the prestigious, highly competitive 3M Teaching Fellowship and the Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teaching Award.

“Windsor has excellent teachers doing remarkable work,” says Erika Kustra, director of teaching and learning development. “External recognition of instructors at the University celebrates Windsor’s reputation as an institution committed to providing its students with an exceptional educational experience.”

This year’s national and provincial teaching award recipients include:

• Judy Bornais, Council of Ontario University Programs in Nursing Excellence in Teaching Award; Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing Award for Excellence in Nursing Education;
• Richard Caron, Ontario Confederation of University Faculty Associations Teaching Award;
• Donna Marie Eansor, 3M Teaching Fellowship;
• Anna Farias, Canadian Association for Medical Education Certificate of Merit Award;
• John Hayward, Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance Teaching Award;
• Jill Urbanic, the Wighton Fellowship;
• Alan Wright, Christopher Knapper Lifetime Achievement Award.
