When Christine Marion-Jolicoeur’s first baby was born, she felt totally lost, anxious and overwhelmed. She had planned nearly every moment of her pregnancy and the birth, but didn’t really know what kind of parent she wanted to be afterward.
By the time she had her second child a little more than two years later, Marion-Jolicoeur knew she needed to do things differently.
The UWindsor grad (BA criminology 2003) has combined her artwork, her writing and her experience into a new passion: sharing the lessons she’s learned to guide parents through frustration, fear and confusion to clarity, confidence and creating joy.
She has developed a Joyful Parenting workbook and e-course, writes a weekly blog, and contributed a chapter to the bestselling anthology Journey to Joy. She will sign copies of the book at a free public event on Sunday, September 21.
Anyone who buys a copy of the book will receive a gift bag with more than $100 worth of coupons, samples and passes from Joyful You and other local businesses. The signing runs 1 to 4 p.m. at Sunset Ice Cream and Gifts, 2211 Front Road, LaSalle.
