Tour to blow engineers away

UWindsor is hosting a tour of the wind tunnel in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation for the Windsor chapter of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers on Tuesday, February 17.

After the tour of the Turbulence and Energy Laboratory, engineering professor Rupp Carriveau will lead a discussion of renewable energy.

“It’s important to talk about where we are with renewable energy research,” says Dr. Carriveau. “With oil prices so low, the trends are changing, so it’s good not to lose sight of the pressing need for renewable energy.”

The tour begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner follows at 6:30. Tickets are still available and the cost is $60. Please register by e-mailing Patrick Castellucci at patrick.castellucci@honeywell.com or phoning 519-250-2006.
