Session to provide information on hospice and palliative care program

A free public session Thursday, September 17, will launch the Queen Elizabeth II Scholars Program for students with an interest in palliative and hospice care.

The program is a partnership with academic and community leaders in hospice and palliative care and provides students in health-related fields with education and research opportunities, paired with mentorship, experiential learning, and community engagement activities.

Its emphasis is on promoting shared excellence and international leadership in palliative care delivery through research and knowledge translation across disciplines, universities, hospices, and communities.

Thursday’s session runs 6 to 8 p.m. in the Heritage Room, Assumption Hall.
