Two events in the Distinguished Visitors in Women’s Studies series will consider issues of reproductive rights, Tuesday and Wednesday on the UWindsor campus.

On Tuesday, October 6, Kathleen Pye will share her insights on how these issues affect our thinking about motherhood in “Parenting, Adoption, and Abortion: Reprojustice including all options.” Pye is past chair of Reproductive Justice New Brunswick, a group which fought to preserve reproductive rights and services in the Maritimes.

The presentation is for students in the course “Representations of Motherhood,” but is open to all interested. It begins at 11:15 a.m. in room 255, Dillon Hall.

Pye will be joined by her colleague Sorcha Beirne for “Reprojustice is not just for white women: Diversity and inclusion in the movement,” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, October 7. The two activists will challenge listeners to view issues through an inclusive lens. Geared to students in the second-year course “Gender and Moral Choice,” the event is open to the public and set for room 121, Biology Building.
