Food Service outlets punching up menus for January

Several additions will freshen up menus at campus food outlets this week, says executive chef Paolo Vasapolli.

“We’re running some specials in the Marketplace just for the month of January, and have some new items coming online at the Crocodile Grill,” he says. “We’re simply trying to keep things interesting for our customers.”

Two food stations in the CAW Student Centre’s Marketplace are featuring special dishes to welcome the start of the new semester:

  • The Mediterranean Grille is offering a platter with an herb-marinated chicken brochette, hummus and a fattoush salad with homemade dressing.
  • The Burger Bar is offering a grilled Buffalo chicken burger topped with a house-made hot sauce.

The Chef to You station has introduced a new menu that changes daily on a three-week cycle.

The Crocodile Grill, on the ground floor of Vanier Hall, is adding new choices for both breakfast and dinner.

The Croc skillet breakfast will layer home fried potatoes with diner’s choice of meat and eggs, topped with cheese. Also available is a breakfast crêpe filled with two eggs cooked any style, spinach, mushrooms and cheese. Both dishes can be served with whites in place of whole eggs.

New dinner entrées include a café salad, grilled chicken Caesar wrap, homemade beef and cheese burrito, and grilled Cajun chicken breast.
