Nominate an individual for the “U” Make A Difference or UWindsor Spirit award

Do you know an individual who deserves recognition? The Employee Recognition Committee encourages members of the campus community to nominate an individual for the “U” Make a Difference Award or the UWindsor Spirit Award.

The “U” Make a Difference Award has been designed to recognize employees who have had an impact on others. To be considered for the award, an individual has to have done one of the following above and beyond their regular job duties:

  • performed a special act of kindness or service that has had a positive impact on others (students, colleagues);
  • made a positive impact through on-campus “call to action” activities designed to address the needs of individuals, families or the community; or
  • built the morale of others through their actions.

The UWindsor Spirit Award has been designed to recognize individuals who continuously demonstrate the UWindsor spirit and are excellent ambassadors of the University. An individual can be considered for this award if they have done one of the following above and beyond their regular job duties:

  • actively supported and promoted the University;
  • acted as a role model (inspiring, motivating and communicating);
  • enhanced the image of the University through their interactions with others;
  • volunteered for campus initiatives; or
  • acted as an ambassador for UWindsor as a great place to work, learn and grow.

These awards are part of the Employee Recognition Awards Program co-ordinated by the Department of Human Resources. Other awards open for nominations include: Service Excellence Awards, Excellence in Leadership Award, Impact Award, and Excellence in Health and Safety Award.
