Nominate an individual or group for the Excellence in Health and Safety Award

Do you know an individual or group who deserves recognition? The Employee Recognition Committee encourages nominations for the Excellence in Health and Safety Award.

The Excellence in Health and Safety Award recognizes the contributions that employees make in fostering a culture of health and safety in the workplace. To be considered for the award, nominees must have:

  • demonstrated a commitment to health and safety in the workplace beyond the requirements of their roles;
  • actively worked towards the continuous improvement of health and safety in the workplace (for example, taken activities/actions to prevent injuries or illnesses, prevented unsafe conditions or practices);
  • actively promoted a work and service environment that is respectful, collegial and supportive.

The Excellence in Health and Safety Award is part of the Employee Recognition Awards Program which is co-ordinated by the Department of Human Resources. Other awards open for nominations include: Service Excellence Awards, Excellence in Leadership Award, Impact Award, “U” Make A Difference Award, and UWindsor Spirit Award.
