There’s no place like home for the holidays, as the song says, but for students far away from their homes, the Host for the Holidays program offers the next best thing.

The program places international students with Windsor families willing to open their homes to offer a taste of Canadian traditions. Organizers are calling for volunteer hosts to register now to invite a dinner guest for December 24 or 25.

Hosts will be matched with guests based on a number of factors, including dietary preferences and tolerance for pets. Find more information, including online applications, on the program website, www.uwindsor.ca/host.
