Soup session to introduce students to sexual misconduct policy

A lunch-hour session Thursday will educate students about the University’s policy on sexual misconduct and help available under it.

Dusty Johnstone, who works in the UWindsor Office of Sexual Misconduct Response and Prevention, will lead the discussion starting at noon February 2 in the CAW Student Centre Commons.

“It’s about making people more aware that we have the policy and that my office exists and how I can help them deal with any issues relating to sexual assault or harassment,” she says.

The event, hosted by Sandra Riccio-Muglia, the student centre’s director of student events and programs, is open to all and does indeed promise attendees free soup.

Dr. Johnstone encourages anyone — student, staff or faculty member — to contact her at dustyj@uwindsor.ca or 519-253-3000, ext. 4550.
