Joint law program posts results of international conference

On Saturday, February 11, Detroit Mercy Law and Windsor Law’s Joint International Intellectual Property Clinic hosted its second international patent drafting competition at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Detroit.

Students from law schools from Canada and the United States competed. The winners of the competition were:

  • First place — St. Louis University, Darnell Cage, Nicole Goldkamp, coach Ben Sodey
  • Second place — Osgoode Hall Law School, Paul Billard, Denver Brandstra, Lawrence Yu
  • Third place — Western Michigan University’s Cooley Law School, Christopher DeLucenay and Joyce Hill

Judges included USPTO judges and patent attorneys.
