University Players director happy to work with playwright

The director of the University Players production of Lion in the Streets has known its author for years and welcomes the opportunity to stage her work.

Jim Warren says mounting this drama has been a wonderful experience.

“The play is a moving poetic journey,” he says. “The dedication and heart that this cast and crew have given to this production is truly inspiring.”

The Humanities Research Group presents an address by Thompson as part of its Distinguished Speakers’ Series at 4 p.m. Thursday in Katzman Lounge, Vanier Hall. This event is free and open to the public.
