Best-selling author to make campus appearance Thursday

“Margaret Atwood has been a leading voice in Canadian literature for five decades, and she’s more popular now than ever!” says Martin Deck, sales and marketing co-ordinator for the Campus Bookstore.

The author of more than 60 books, Atwood will read from and sign her works during an appearance on the UWindsor campus Thursday, May 11, at 12 p.m.

The Campus Bookstore will have copies of all Atwood’s book that are in print available for purchase at the event.

Her oeuvre spans genres — novels, short stories, poetry and nonfiction —  including most recently the novel Hag-Seed, a retelling of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest, and two volumes of the graphic novel Angel Catbird.

Atwood will perform a brief reading and then answer questions from the audience before signing books during the event, hosted by the Campus Bookstore. It begins at noon in room 1120 Erie Hall.
