Funding available to support leadership development and career advancement

A fund to support leadership development and career advancement for women and other designated groups is now accepting applications.

The Career Development Fund for Women and Other Designated Groups under the purview of the vice-president, human resources, is open to UWindsor employees who hold a permanent appointment and self-identify as a member of a designated group recognized by the University of Windsor: women, visible minorities, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities, and sexual minorities.

“We recognize that individuals applying for the fund may be at different stages in their leadership development journey,” says Rita LaCivita, vice-president, human resources. “Therefore, the fund can be used for a variety of opportunities, including comprehensive leadership development training programs, skill development workshops, leadership assessment and debriefing, and executive coaching.”

Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the Department of Human Resources website for more details and to access the web-based application form.
