Noemi Potma wasn’t counting on winning a new laptop computer, but she’s glad she did anyway.
The first-year business major received a Toshiba Satellite worth $1,450 from the Campus Bookstore after her entry was drawn from all students who registered for the its marketing notices.
“My current laptop is getting old,” Potma said as she took delivery of her prize Monday. “To be honest, I barely even remembered I had entered a contest.”
Marketing co-ordinator Martin Deck said the draw helped alert students to the opportunity to hear more often from the Campus Bookstore.
“We’re looking for ways to get our messages out to our clients, reminding them that we have more than textbooks available,” he said.
