Still a month left to join campus adopt-a-family effort

Members of the campus community wishing to contribute to the UWindsor Adopt-a-Family campaign still have time to get involved, says co-ordinator Sabina Howell.

Administrative assistant in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, she says more than 30 offices have signed on to the program, which works through the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation to ensure a happy holiday for those in need.

Sponsors collect gifts for a small-, medium-, or large-sized family or a youth on extended care. Organizers suggest donations of food and clothing in addition to toys for children, as these items are often difficult for families to afford.

Potential sponsors will receive profiles of family members and a list of their wishes. A truck will visit campus on December 5 to take delivery of the donations. Send expressions of interest to Howell at Sabina.Howell@uwindsor.ca.
