Local authors Marty Gervais and Herb Colling will sign copies of their recent books — Five Days Walking Five Towns and Ford City, respectively, in the Campus Bookstore on Thursday, December 21.

The store will offer a “scratch-and-save” discount to all UWindsor staff and faculty that day, with a chance to win savings between 10 and 25 per cent on their purchases, excluding textbooks and course materials, computers, gift cards, special orders, and already-discounted merchandise.

In Ford City, Colling, a broadcaster retired from CBC Windsor, recounts the history of the town that became the industrial heart of Windsor.

Gervais, an award-winning journalist and the University’s resident writing professional, takes readers on a narrative walking tour of Ford City, Riverside, Walkerville, Windsor, and Sandwich.

The books — both published by Biblioasis — each retails for $24.95. The authors will be on hand in the bookstore Thursday from noon to 1:30 p.m.
