MFA students to open studio doors Wednesday

The public will have a chance to see how students are making use of the new downtown facilities of the School of Creative Arts when Master of Fine Arts candidates open their studios to visitors.

Students in visual arts and film programs will showcase the diverse range of their practices and media by allowing the public to explore their working spaces during the MFA Open Studio, 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the SoCA Armouries.

Participating artists include Jude Abu-Zaineh, David Bergeron, Talysha Bujold-Abu, Yiru Chen, Adrienne Crossman, Audrey D’Astous, Faegheh-Vicki Kalantari, April Morris, Amin Nadi, Dominic Pinney, Anthony Saracino and Imogen Wilson.

Earlier the same day, members of the TUG Collective will discuss their exhibition “Borders | Corridors | Lines of Desire,” which considers conflicting attitudes toward migration in American history. Their new film installation, The Turn Around, is on view in the SoCA Gallery through Wednesday. Their artists’ talk is scheduled for 4 p.m.
