Lancers to provide lead-in to pro basketball opener

The Lancer men will host the Western Mustangs as part of a full day of basketball entertainment Saturday, Nov. 17, at the WFCU Centre.

The Ontario University Athletics contest will set the stage for the Windsor Express team to open its National Basketball League of Canada campaign.

The Lancers and Mustangs will tip off at 3 p.m. Following that game, Lancer players will run a one-hour Skills and Drills camp for local youth. The Express and the Sudbury Five will hit the court for a 7 p.m. start.

Lancer head coach Chris Oliver said he hopes the event proves memorable.

“We have always looked for ways to create unique experiences for our student-athletes, and we are grateful for this opportunity provided by the Windsor Express,” he said.
