January 17 deadline to apply for Canada Summer Jobs funding

Campus employers hoping to receive a federal subsidy to create student summer jobs must submit their proposals by Thursday, Jan. 17.

As a public sector employer, the University of Windsor is eligible to receive Canada Summer Jobs funding for up to 50 per cent of minimum hourly wage for positions between 30 and 40 hours per week for six to 16 weeks over the summer.

The University of Windsor will submit one coordinated application that will include all the individual job proposals received by the internal deadline. Faculty and staff interested in hiring a summer student may apply online to request funding.

All applications for positions at the University of Windsor must follow this process so that they are submitted to Service Canada by someone with the authority to enter an agreement on behalf of the University.
