Reception to welcome viewers to employee’s exhibition

A free public reception Saturday, Jan. 26, will celebrate “Frequency Feels,” an exhibition at the ArtSpeak Gallery of works by Julie Sando.

Sando is an adjunct assistant professor in the School of Creative Arts and administrative assistant to the director of the Office of Human Rights, Equity, and Accessibility.

“These new artworks emerged from my exploration of vintage amateur radio enthusiast magazines and from thinking about transistors — an invention that radically altered communication technologies,” she says.

She will be on hand for Saturday’s closing reception from 1 to 4 p.m.

The ArtSpeak Gallery, administered by the Arts Council – Windsor and Region, is located at 1942 Wyandotte St. E.
