Students learn from supply chain professionals

About 70 students of the Odette School of Business heard from professionals in the field of logistics and supply chains, Friday in the Odette Building.

Representatives of two of Canada’s leading supply chain associations: the Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) and the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) of Ontario — and some local executives holding designations from each — spoke about careers in the sector, which they identified as central to a modern economy.

Panellists included:

  • CITT president Pina Melchionna;
  • SCMAO president Al-Azhar Khalfan;
  • Tracy Arnold, assistant procurement manager for Caesars Windsor; and
  • Adam Pernasilici, vice-president of freight company Laser Transport.

Following the presentations, a reception allowed students to network with industry professionals.
