System upgrade to necessitate Blackboard blackout May 3

An upgrade to the UWindsor Blackboard Learning Management System will take it offline Friday, May 3.

The changes include several new features and enhancements, including the ability for instructors to offer personalized feedback to students in audio or video form, and optimizing modules for use on mobile devices.

Users will experience a disruption in service starting at 6 a.m. May 3 and lasting from 12 to 24 hours.

“We are scheduling this upgrade at this time of year to cause the least amount of disruption,” says Lorie Stolarchuk of the Centre for Teaching and Learning. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”
