Assumption University offering courses aimed at general audience

Assumption University, the Roman Catholic affiliate to the University of Windsor, invites registrants to three general interest courses through the fall semester.

The “Learn for Life” series offer educational opportunities with no papers or exams.

  • Maria Giannotti will teach “Taking Charge of your Health: tools and supports to navigate the healthcare maze” over four Thursdays at 12:30 p.m. in the Adie Knox Herman Recreation Complex, 1551 Wyandotte St. West, starting Sep. 5.
  • Rev. Donald Lococo will teach “Science and Christianity: certainty vs. faith or belief vs. assurance?” for four Mondays starting Sep. 16 at 6:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall, 4401 Mt. Royal Dr.
  • John Cappucci, the Stephen A. Jarislowsky Chair in Religion and Conflict, will teach “Three Religions, One Ethic” over three Wednesdays starting Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall.
