Faculty, students, and staff representing the University of Windsor shared what it means to be “Windsor Proud” with more than 7,000 prospective students and their parents at the Ontario Universities Fair, Sept. 27 to 29 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, says Chris Busch, acting associate vice president, enrolment management.
He notes that number of visitors to the UWindsor booth is an increase of nearly 30 per cent over 2018.
“A tremendous amount of effort goes into organizing this event and we cannot do it without the dedicated students, faculty, and staff who give up their weekend to travel to Toronto,” Busch says. “For that, I am greatly appreciative.”
All 21 Ontario universities participate in the annual fair, which draws students, families, and educators. Busch calls it an important milestone on the recruitment calendar.
“It provides a valuable opportunity for us to share information on our academic programs and the student experience with individuals who are interested in post-secondary studies in their future,” he says.
The next significant date for his team is Fall Open House, which will bring thousands of high schoolers and their families to campus on Saturday, Nov. 2.
